RESIDENTIAL SERVICE

SAFETY IS A MAJOR CONCERN:

It is our obligation to ensure that your home is safe from not only electrical hazards but additional hazards we might notice while doing business with you. We are not handymen. Our electricians receive weekly training on personal safety, electrical code updates, electrical installation tips and education as well as customer service training. We use the following monthly publications: Electrical Construction and Maintenance, Electrical Contractor, Contracting Business, Charlie Greer’s Tech Daddy Customer Service System as well as the Service System that I developed based on my 35 years of electrical service history.

WHAT WE DO and WHAT WE DO NOT DO!

WE PRIDE OUR SELVES AS BEING AN ELECTRICAL SERVICE CONTRACTOR AND NOT A JACK OF ALL TRADES. WE SPECIALIZE IN ELECTRICAL SERVICE ONLY. NOR ARE WE A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR. WE CAN PROUDLY SAY, “WE ARE NOT UNDER CONSTRUCTION.” AND WE ARE NOT ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE.

  1. TROUBLESHOOT AND RESTORE ELECTRICAL POWER FAILURE
    1. Partial power loss or full and complete power loss
    2. ANY TIME OR ANY DAY.
      1. We are available to serve you 24/7.
      2. I answer the telephone on weekends and after hours.

  2. CIRCUIT INSTALLATION
    1. Living better electrically today than ever before often results in overloaded circuits. Today’s lifestyle, and often, the national electrical code, requires panel upgrades.
    2. One or two dedicated circuits for todays modern equipment could make all the difference to your comfortable way of living.
    3. Dedicated circuits will take the load off existing circuits thus extending their life.
    4. EV level 1 and level 2 charging receptacles.
    5. Air quality and energy savings fans.
      1. Whole house, attic ventilators, quiet paddle fans.
      2. WIFI and blue tooth control units have a very positive effect on your run away electrical utility bill
  3. ELECTRICAL SERVICE PANEL UPGRADES
    1. Some brands of older panels and circuit breakers have been declared unsafe by the Consumer Protection Agency.
    2. These older circuit breakers do not trip at the manufacturers rating. There have been many instances where the actual circuit tripping of the breaker exceeds the breaker rating by 75-100% of the manufacturer’s listed rating.
    3. We have replaced older panels because of this safety issue. Several insurance companies refuse to insure properties that have older circuit breakers and panels.
    4. Read about great reasons to upgrade panels in our Electric Panel Upgrade article.
  4. DEVICE, SWITCH AND LIGHT FIXTURE REMOVE AND REPLACE
    1. Our skilled electricians easily remove and replace receptacles and switches with newer styles, color and safety features.
      1. Wifi and Bluetooth control
    2. GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) can be installed on grounded or non-grounded conductors.
    3. Remove older style fluorescent fixtures and replace them with more energy efficient LED fixtures.
  5. CIRONSURGE PROTECTION
    1. Now both the national electrical code and California Electrical Code require surge protection when panels are upgraded or replaced. Who would have ever thought of code protection in California? Lightning strikes are not that common here. The concern today is the California electrical grid with its aging infrastructure, maintenance issues, high temperatures and increased demand.
      1. Surge protection is protecting your assets from the electrical grid. The KW (kilowatt) demand is increasing, and supply is lagging.
  6. Grounding
    1. Test and validate existing ground grid. If the existing single copper ground rod test greater than 25-ohms resistance or more, our electricians will add an additional ground rod with connecting copper conductor. This will place the property in compliance.
